Busan Expo, Ecological Sensitivity Illumination with Topiary Resembling Nature

– Moss Wall Art, large squirrel-shaped sculpture unveiled

On January 31, 2006, a unique sculpture combining nature and art was installed at the Busan Expo venue. Moss Wall Art, a leader in domestic topiary design, presented a large squirrel-shaped topiary at the event, adding strength to the environmental message of the Expo.

This work is a visual point that takes into account the path of visitors, and it is made with precision using a refined moss planting technique to increase accessibility by utilizing familiar animal figures. It is particularly well-received as an installation art that allows people to experience nature in an urban environment, and it also functioned as a major visitor attraction element at the Expo.

A representative of Moswall Art said, “The message conveyed by nature-based design at international events such as the Expo is more powerful than any words,” and added, “We plan to continue to present the possibilities of ecological art at domestic and international public events and exhibitions.”
