Hyundai Motor Company Headquarters East Building, 3rd Floor: A round, non-molded design creates flexible space.
On January 26, 2024, the Moss Wall Art, installed on the third floor of the East Building of Hyundai Motor Company Headquarters, was newly completed with a round, non-molded design with gradient applied , smoothly connecting the flow of space.
This installation focuses on creating a free-form language that breaks away from existing frameworks and naturally flows the boundaries between the wall and the structure.
The non-molded method is a difficult task that uses the plant itself to create a shape without a frame, and requires techniques that can effectively express the density changes and depth of curves characteristic of gradients.
In particular, the third floor of the East Wing is a space with a special structure that includes curved walls, and the round gradient design flexibly arranged to match this creates an atmosphere as if nature has permeated it, visually expanding the space.
This project is evaluated as an example of the integrated realization of practicality, emotion, and aesthetic beauty of space, and has added another level of perfection to Hyundai Motor Company's spatial design strategy.
