Daejeon City Hall, Moss Wall Art Installed in 4th Floor Rest Area… Attention-grabbing as the First Case of Natural Art Administrative Space
Daejeon City Hall began leading the way in public institution space innovation by installing Moss Wall Art in the lounge on the 4th floor of the main building on August 13, 2019.
This installation is evaluated as one of the first domestic cases of introducing ecological art using natural moss into an administrative space , going beyond simple landscaping.
Moss wall art applied to the employee break area not only has practical functions such as indoor air purification, humidity maintenance, and noise absorption, but also provides visual healing and emotional stability by capturing the texture of nature.
City officials said, “This space improvement, which takes into account both work efficiency and welfare, is the starting point for creating a new administrative environment that supports recovery and creative thinking through nature.”
This installation at Daejeon City Hall is recorded as a milestone in the introduction of moss wall art in public buildings , and has since become an opportunity for it to spread to many local governments and public institutions.
