Yeoju City Health Center, the first in the country to introduce moss wall art… Creating a healing environment embracing nature
Yeoju City Health Center has become the first public health center in Korea to install Moss Wall Art, making a pioneering attempt to incorporate natural art into public health spaces for healing and recovery.
This installation, which was applied to the waiting area for visitors and the employee break area in the public health center, is attracting attention as it provides a better environment for both citizens and medical staff based on the humidity control, noise absorption, and psychological stability functions of natural moss.
Especially as the role of public health centers is emphasized after COVID-19, space design that focuses on sensory recovery and stress relief through nature is evaluated as a new public health welfare model.
An official from Yeoju City Health Center said, “Moss Wall Art is not just a simple interior design, but a symbol of consideration for the space for citizens,” and added, “We will continue to provide health administration that harmonizes health and emotion.”
This installation is recorded as the first public health center case of creating a nature-based emotional environment , and it is expected to spread to public medical institutions in other regions in the future.
