Gunpo Urban Development Corporation breathes life into urban spaces with moss wall art.

On December 14, 2021, Gunpo Urban Development Corporation successfully completed a design project that symbolically demonstrated the harmony between urban development and the environment by introducing Moss Wall Art in the hallways of its headquarters building. This installation is an example of Gunpo Urban Development Corporation's philosophy of public function and urban sustainability expressed through natural art.
The installed moss wall art is composed of patterns that maintain the flow of life even in the linear, functional atmosphere of the city. The organic texture and natural green tones of moss relieve the tension of the office space while blending well with the refined image of the construction site.
This project went beyond simple interior landscaping and garnered attention as a case study in which a public corporation, responsible for urban design and spatial management, pioneered the practice of spatial aesthetics that harmonize with nature. The project received positive feedback from both visitors and employees, raising the possibility of its expansion to similar institutions.
A Moss Wall Art official said, “As Gunpo Urban Development Corporation is an organization that leads the change in urban space, we designed it with both symbolism and functionality in mind,” adding, “Introducing natural art to a public institution can become a new standard for spatial welfare.”
