2004 Chelsea Flower Show, the world debut of Korean topiary design
On May 1, 2004, Korean topiary designs were officially exhibited on the world stage for the first time at the Chelsea Flower Show, a world-renowned garden art exhibition hosted by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) in the UK.
This project was the result of the fusion of Moss Wall Art's formative art-based technology and natural design philosophy , and was the first overseas case of Korean-style topiary that went beyond simple landscaping to include formative beauty, the vitality of plants, and an emotional message .
The work exhibited at the time added the beauty of Korean lines and blank space to the traditional European topiary mold, presenting a new perspective of ‘living plastic art’ and receiving rave reviews from local judges and visitors.
The Chelsea Flower Show is a prestigious event where only artists from around the world can participate by invitation, and this entry became the starting point for announcing the identity and potential of Korean green art to the world.
Since then, Moss Wall Art has led a new trend of fusion of art, plants, and space through numerous topiary projects at home and abroad, the first of which started in Chelsea in 2004.
