Korea Electric Power Corporation Fills ‘Energy Space’ with Nature by Introducing Moss Wall Art

– Ecological design applied to main hallways of headquarters… Conveying a message of harmony between technology and nature

On December 13, 2019, **Moss Wall Art**, which contains ecological sensibility and refined aesthetics, was installed in the main hallway of the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) headquarters, adding a new level of formative language to the space representing the energy industry. This installation is a symbolic project that showed the possibility that designs using natural materials can be harmoniously incorporated even in technology-based institutions.

Moss Wall Art applied a customized moss design to a large wall surface, considering the spatial structure, traffic flow, and functional purpose of KEPCO. The vibrant texture of moss and the restrained linear pattern added depth and meaning to the space, symbolizing the flow and continuous supply of electric energy.

In particular, this installation is in line with KEPCO's eco-friendly energy philosophy, and is serving as an element that reinforces the brand image of 'coexistence of technology and nature' not only for internal members but also for external visitors.

A Moswall Art official said, “The more a public institution symbolizes electricity and technology, the more it needs to add a sense of emotion and nature to its space,” adding, “This project is a design experiment that naturally fills that gap, and will remain as a new model for the aesthetics of public institutions.”
